Staying at El Tambo Machupicchu was just what we needed for a quick yet memorable visit before venturing into the wonders of Machu Picchu. The location was incredibly convenient - just a five-minute stroll to the bus station, surrounded by a delightful mix of local restaurants and shops that gave us a taste of Aguas Calientes beyond the touristy facade. With spacious rooms and reliable hot water, we felt right at home even on our whirlwind trip. The staff went above and beyond, helping us store our luggage for our early morning adventure and providing directions that made exploring easier. Plus, the budget-friendly rates made it easy for us to indulge in those tasty street breakfasts nearby and keep up our energy for hiking. This cozy spot is definitely a hidden gem for any traveler looking to immerse themselves in local life while keeping Machu Picchu in easy reach!
